one on each of it's own rode. The prospect of dragging with two anchors down and having to abanbon one or try to fight getting both aboard in high winds just doesn't get it for me. I can understand you using a rideing sail in moderate , maybe even strong winds while well anchored but what do you do when the wind keep getting stronger? At some point you have to get it down. The alternative, I guess, is to let God take it down. I've been anchored in 150+ knots. I had 4 anchors out on my port side and 5 lines into the mangroves and servived. There were people that started the storm anchored out. They all were on the beach afterwards. My only thought is that those people had to be working with anchors, deck equipment and possibily riding sails as the wind went higher and higher. If you use one you're betting that the wind will stop increasing before it's beyond your ability to retrieve it. I'm not so sure I'm willing to take that chance if I know a storm or hurricane os on it's way
