Since I only draw 12" I hope in my geezerhood to only ever anchor in 20' or less, perhaps 10' or less..... But, it can get deep in the sound and the Columbia if you are near the channel. I've anchored other boats I've owned in 45' of water several times when I had to. Conversely, Jaunty is flat bottom with two deep skegs aft to keep him level on the sand when the tide goes out.
