120 knots vs. 150 knots has a difference of over 1/2 again as much. 22500/14400

Then of course, the wind isn't just "wind" in a huricane. It's filed with "heavy" water. That's a different story that makes it much stronger.

[The same issue is that 15 knots of wind vs. 20 knots is 400/225 difference in forces. That's without the difference of the force depending on the temperature which affects the "density" of the air. (i.e., a cold wind has much more punch than a warm wind...if the speed is the same....)
