I have just singlehand experience on daysailers... So I pick my weather carefully. International One Design, Shields, J22, CD22... Learning to do one night hops to practice anchoring. A little 8hp outboard doesn't leave much room for error on a windless day. Now hoping to extend the range with judiciously chosen day sail hops. But, eventually, once the boat and the skipper are ready, longer distances for longer periods.
The boat is sound and sails well. Nice to have the added displacement in a SW chop. Numerous issues with sails/running rigging to sort out, but we're fine for day sailing now. Electronics?.... well, the Loran C shall have to go! But will be fun designing a new set of toys in that department when they rise to the top of the priority list.
I will go to the Bristol Owners site...
Thanks for your help... this site is an invaluable resource for cruising expertise!
