Same experience in Andalusia

We were starboard tack, under sail, very light airs, sailing from Ayamonte on the Rio Guiadiana to Mazagon. A sailboat port tacked, main alone, clearly under power is crossing our course and showed no sign of giving way, so we ducked under their stern. No-one was at the helm. Two people were sitting in the cockpit -- leaning up against the cabin and looking aft. They waved at us.

And it was a Spanish flagged vessel! But we were in Spain.

Autopilots are a license to be stupid.
