Had an interesting auto pilot event Sunday....

we were crossing the Chesapeake headed East from the Magothy river to Rockhall. Starboard tack beam reach making 6.5-7 knots. Fabulous sail.

Just about half way a boat heading west / SW on a port tack was closing range constant bearing. We were watching for 20 minutes and Gayle headed up a tick to duck behind. We passed maybe 10-15' astern. Darned if there was no one at the helm! French flagged ketch with a US courtesy flag. Watched as she headed West, across the main shipping channel towards Mountain Point. Never did see anyone come up.
