My track is the old bronze style with SS slugs, not ideal. But it's the same one with both sails. It seems the last few feet are the added chore where I feel I'm raising more weight. Then again, maybe I'm aging faster.

The reel winch doesn't allow me to go aft and flake it, that's one of the many reasons I'd like to go to a rope halyard and winch. Do you have a self tailer for the halyard? I look forward to this sail getting a little softer and easier to furl. I installed Lazy Jacks and love the new simplicity of lowering it, it's just the flaking and tieing that is still a bear to do. But the old sail, soft as a dish rag, was even more hassle.
