Once we went out cruising full time I debated about dropping our subscription to CW.

When we were out I met a number of cruisers that wrote for a few mags. More than one were told that CW no longer needed there material, as they were converting to "staff" writers. I read that as people who sit at a desk, surf the net for stuff others were doing, and putting together "stuff" that they never actually lived! CW did keep publishing stuff from a few select well known people, but I saw and read a number of pieces that were very good that got turned down, by people who had circumnavigated!

I dropped my subscription then and have never looked back.

Once in a great while, when in a book store, I pick up a copy and thumb through it and as a cruiser I find 98% of it just fluff and of no interest.

IF I was into chartering, another story.

Just my 2 cents worth. Or is it a nickel or dime now?
