I just replaced all my rode... I now have 100' of 5/16... and it sets the claw beautifully. I have another 240 feet of 1/2 three strand with that. That three strand has yet to see water. (all my recent anchoring has been in less than 20 feet of water).

I have felt good about the claw, but was really surprised to see how poorly it performed on that anchor test.

I even dove on it one time to see what it looked like... and it was text book... really dug itself into the sand, and the chain was nicely payed out and eventually followed a pretty catenary right up to the boat.
