While there's no such thing as "too big" when it's blowing hard, that's bigger than you or I would want on our bows. Also I have an issue with any Fortress/Danforth style when the wind reverses, as they often don't reset if they flip over and something has jammed between the flukes and shank.
I think I'd look seriously at the Manson Boss if I were in the market today. It appears to have the shape and burying advantages of the scoop style anchors without the disadvantage of the big hoop. But I haven't seen a any comparison testing of it yet.
