Seems to me that CRUISING WORLD is making an honest effort to cover THE ENTIRE SPECTRUM of what constitutes "Cruising"... From weekend/vacation cruising to full-time voyaging/liveaboard, in both small modest boats, to extravagant/fabulous yachts far beyond the financial reach of the vast majority of us... THEY have not "decided" that sailors like you and me are not their "target', but rather consider us to be PART OF their readership, along with everyone else out there with an interest in "Cruising", however each individual might define it... Rather, it is YOU who have "decided" that you find little interest in the types of boats or sailing different from your own...

Nothing wrong with that, of course, that's every reader's choice... However, I'd bet the owner of that $2+ million Gunboat finds FAR LESS in each issue that reflects "his reality", than do people like you and I... (grin)
