Frankly I like my "Claw," but I have not used it in storm conditions... so no doubt there are probably weaknesses of the anchor I have not yet encountered.

And yeah, right there in the top line is the quote "we were invited by Fortress..." sigh... Also notable was the comment... "the protocols for deploying and setting anchors were different from those a cruising sailor might use..." OOPs.

Still, I would think the comparisons of anchor to anchor, dismissing the bias of the Fortress anchors, might be somewhat valid.

And after all dammit... isn't it about time for an anchor thread? GRIN
