CWBOTY $2.1 million?
They were wowed?
The thing I like about it is....
what is Cruising World?
Agreed.
SAME here!
Sail mag even recently had an anchor test...
Have you seen an FX37 in person?
I have the FX37 as a storm anchor
That was not a "SAIL Magazine" anchor test...
No, missed that one Jon... should have realized...

how much is a "bunch" of chain.
100 feet of 1/4 G4, with 200 feet of 1/2 nylon attached
I've read the issue, I actually still subscribe...
I cut CW some slack. Their brand is still Cruising which includes long distance-exotic destinations.
"Long distance exoctic destinations...."
lol- yep- like a 52 year old 25 footer
Just because you buy a globe-girdler, doesn't mean you have to go.
Always amusing to read critiques of a magazine by people who don't read it... (grin)
The articles on the Cape Verdes and Helena were fasinating. Both are places which "cruising" is a very different.
Exactly... I wonder how many people would be paying $80/year for a subscription...
I just did. I didn't even know it was a multi!
Going green

I've been getting CW via the Kindle app
I still prefer magazines...
Just checked tha app store. Did you subscribe for a year or buy by the month?
I subscribe through Amazon
Kindle store
CW is $16.79 year on Amazon Kindle app
Correction

Sorry Jon, but I have to disagree
I will say this, after posting above
Maybe whtat it really comes down to is demographics...
I read that CW review, on Facebook. Next day, I read one from Fatty Goodlander.
I presume you've heard the expression "You can't please all of the people, all of the time"... (grin)
It's a changing world, for sure...
That's good for the used boat market
Sailing should follow golfs marketing.
It is odd. A simple 'everyday sailing' entry level sailboat has never been cheaper to buy.
and yet-at the 2014 Sail Oklahoma event on Lake Eufala, there were 72 boats
Thinking back.. can't recall a NEW boat.
I bought a brand new San Juan 21, Mk I in 1973
That model was the first boat I sailed-on. It was a friends boat in the St. Croix River between Minnesota and Wisconsin
one for me
I bought a new boat in '76
And you are somewhere in between ;^)))
Closer to 78 than 42
10 new, 3 used
Wait a minute . . you sold a Porta-Bote to Jax?
He's alive, well, and living in NYC.
Say hi for me
HAAA! I was wondering
what the anonimity of the internet can do to some.
The biggest new boat that I ever bought was
