A "delivery" to bring the boat about 80nm from Greenwich CT to Stonington CT with my son. The forecast was for a cold front to move through accompanied by NW winds and scattered showers. It was heavy overcast cool for August; and we averaged above 9 knots often sailing in the teens, within 5 miles of shore on a broad reach. It was pouring rain most of the day ashore, and we could see it falling in sheets in the distance, but it never rained out on LIS or Fishers Island Sound where we were. Quality time with my son, and we got to share a wonderful sail. Sorry no pictures, but a nice memory.
