Here are some pictures of a double ended main sheet

This setup works well if you want to be able to adjust the sheet from either side of the cockpit
An alternative would be to get away from the winch altogether and use a fine tuning block arrangement like the ones below if you think it would provide sufficient purchase.

- On a smaller boat, used to use the lee winch like that and lead across cockpit to weather side
