Mine's a tight squeeze with the riser going from the manifold 90° to the centerline then up to the Yanmar mixing elbow. The Vetus waterlock is mounted as low as possible over the stuffing box. A little more drop would be nice but that's the best I could come up with given the space. If you look closely you'll see the brown plastic Vetus under the mixing elbow.
FWIW, I stopped at an auto salvage yard today. The owner said scrap prices are way down right now, #1 copper is under $2.00 a pound.
