Don't overlook the Forespar Mini-Galley... (pic)

Hi Al,

My main cooker is a two-burner unit from Force 10, I've always been happy with it... But I'm not much of a cook, and since my specialty is boiling water, turns out the Mini-Galley is one of the most practical items aboard my boat...

Especially when underway, this thing handles the roughest conditions with ease... It's so tiny, it's not really functional for actually "cooking" anything more than a single serving of Chef Boyardee, but for stuff like brewing coffee or tea offshore, I find it invaluable, though you need to spend the extra money to buy their teapot...

My main propane tanks are a bit of a pain to access and swap out when empty, the Mini-Galley really enables me to stretch the interval between refills by using it instead when all I need to do is boil water, and the little propane bottles can be found anywhere, and are easy to stow...

Highly recommended for a minimalist like me, but even if I had a bigger and more complex boat, I'd never go off cruising without one... Anyone who adds one of these to their galley, I'd bet you'll be surprised how much you find yourself using it - and for extended cruising, I think one makes an excellent backup in the event you run low on propane, or have a problem like a failed propane solenoid (another excellent spare to be carrying, of course)...

best regards,

Jon
