sorry, did not intend to be vague

The original plan was to refinish all the teak on the new boat, however some just does not lend itself to refinishing. In particular there is a thin piece of trim on both sides of the coach house. I have been looking at alternatives to teak because I can't find anything close to the size and shape (3/16" x 3/4" x 10' 4"). There is a style of trim called "screen bead" that is pretty close in size, but I can only find it in pine which will not pass muster. I have found red oak stop trim in the 1/4" x 1" x 10'. I need that extra 4", so will need to join two pieces for each side.

There is a hardwood mill south of us that may be able to help, they have a style of trim called "cloverleaf" which is 3/8" x 3/4" x 12' and available in oak. I'm headed there on Saturday to take a look at samples.
