We find it best to prep the boat in the slip

() if we are at a marine and then sail out to some anchorage to put the varnish on. We do the "Caps" from the dinghy so we aren't on ours knees. This way we avoid much of the road dust and quite a few of the bugs. We stay over night and do the bottom at anchor as well.
