I believe you are right, depends on the radius...

() the surface is harder (and less flexible) than the middle. I think Makrolon recommends against heat bending it. A soft radius on fairly thin material seems to work fine though, this is the stuff some motorcycle helmet visors are made of, flexed to a radius. If you look at Makrolon's literature, it is full of examples of large radius bends in architectural work.
