...an importer of Chinese cowls, no longer in business...

A couple of winters ago, I was sailing from Cat down to Conception in a strong easterly, and had a wave sweep the foredeck and carried off one of my dorades... I figured I was screwed, Mariner's was already gone, but I finally lucked out and found one on eBay...

They're quite nice, but that Chinese stainless really starts showing rust quickly, you've really got to keep on top of them... I'm sure the quality of the Hood/Pompanette is considerably superior, but damn they're pricey, and I don't believe they make one as small as mine, anyway...
