had to motorsail the whole distance to make it before dark and the thunderstorms. I also called Utsch's, but they said the water was too thin for me. Anchorage looks OK but there were a lot of big sportfisherman roaring in and out. Just had dinner over at the Lobster cafe counter, quite good, reasonably priced with quick efficient service - one of the very few such dining experiences on the east coast. The marina seems clean and well run, same price as the Farley State marina which was neither clean nor well run. The Golden Nugget has taken over management, if you ever wanted the chance to bet against a casino's success, this is it. I have never seen such an unfriendly, inept, expensive, and wholly unattractive place. They are remodeling, maybe the are just figuring to fire all the staff and kiss off any repeat business when they finish, then start again? Really an astonishingly bad establishment.

Now I need to go up to West Marine to get a replacement chart cartridge for the plotter so I can see where I am.
