What the hell are those????

Actually I have all that, and NOAA raster and ENC charts on two computers, and even Navionics on my iPhone. The convenience of a chartplotter *at the helm* though, once experienced, is hard to deny. In my opinion it is more of a step up when the chartplotter is moved to the steering station, than it is going from paper to electronic charts. In fact, I would probably rather have a waterproof chart at the helm than a chartplotter down below.

The Navionics of the iPhone does not update your position fast enough to really simulate a chartplotter's moving map. Something Navionics is doing wrong, because it does update fast enough on MotionGPS.
