This performance designing was as much for coastal sailing performance. Meaning, getting the most sailing performance first with less than traditional accommodations in a boat of this size(similar to your boat). If this is a high "sailing" performance coastal cruiser, capable of of the owners vision, then it is a success.

That's why I also don't know this boat will necessarily be a fast racer(certainly fast enough, but not todays racing boat). That calls for a different design approach.

It did well in it's first year but this type of racing is as much about ratings as boat design.
