haha... no, seriously I do appreciate your advice and will be cautious. But in all honesty I bought Pelican at the right price and have enjoyed her for over a decade. I don't want to get rich off this . I just want to find her a good home.
Both these folks sound really enthusiastic and genuinely appreciative of the boat's uniqueness so if I seem a little overconfident its because I've already got half of what I want - reassurance that the boat will be cared for and used for its intended purpose.
Thats a HUGE relief.
It also doesn't hurt that the guy I met with this morning was literally counting out a large stack of crisp hundred dollar bills on the hood of his 1940's vintage hot rod before I made him put them away cuz there was one other person interested.
I'm sure it'll go for much less than what I paid for it, but someones getting this boat next Saturday.
What it sells for is gonna be a secret though (so don't ask and jinx it)
