... No, Pelican is still up.
I need to get more aggressive about trying to find her a home. The boats so unusual, its more like arranging an adoption than a sale.
Yes, I've had Ox The Powerboat out a few times and its been fun... although still a bit like camping as its not finished.
I managed to break my right hand in four places during the excitement surrounding hurricane Irene so its nice being able to manage a boat with just one. Unfortunately with the one hand down, completing the interior will take some time.
Also added a new boat to the stable last week. I bought this at auction last week very, very inexpensively ($6500)

A nice surprise was that the new boat is completely functional - all it needed was a good cleaning.
I figure I'll use single-diesel Ox for longer solo cruises and the Egg for when Holly and I want to blast across the sound for a quick trip to Ocracoke or to Cape Lookout.
If you know any young dreamers who would use Pelican for extended ocean crossings and adventure (I'll not sell her to someone who would break her up for parts or to a wino looking for a cheap place to live) please do let me know!
