Bunch of the members of the dry bottom yacht club are heading up to see the Seattle Boat Show. We will be staying on a 1000 sq ft houseboat on an end tie in Lake Union.
The "latest" in houseboats are "actual" boats with motors and holding tanks but built like, uh, houseboats. They are docked at moorages along the shores but not plumbed in, as it were. A pump out boat comes around weekly, pumps the holding tanks for a fixed monthly fee. The only hook ups to the dock are "boat style" water and electricity.
Many have only 10 horse outboards. The one these folks have last year had twin 90 horse Hondas. We advised the non boater owners to sell'em and replace with twin ten horse. Who knows, eh?
