Trailer Park?

Of course the distinction between someone that anchors for one week vs. 20 weeks is simiplier to deal with -- it's not "in transit", expept in theory.

A boat that really isn't more than a barge with a little "outboard" isn't a boat, except in theory. It isn't even a "houseboat".

That name "shanty boat" may not apply to all boats that at the website shantyboat.com -- but the word "shanty" (as in town), isn't going to get a lot of defense from a lot people.

There's a balance between responsible and thoughtful use of our navicable waters, anchorages, etc. But there's no reason to allow people to simple squat in our national parks because they simply "want to".

If we don't, as a sailing community, understand and help that balance, then the many will remove the rights of us all because of the actions of a few. Simply contending that an inalienable right exists will guarantee that.

Rant over.
