Brendon is sinking. Or at least she's trying to sink. Slowly but

never the less, water is getting to the inside of the boat. That violates one of my two rules. 1. Stay in the blue part of the chart. 2. Keep the water on the outside of the boat. It's number two that's in question. I discovered that my stern tube, or shaft tube is leaking where the rubber hose attaches that holds the packing gland to the tube. No option but to haul out and replace the tube. I hauled out in Mazatlan 4 months ago so I doubly bummed. We had to cancel our trip to Northern California to visit my son and grand children so that was a real hit as well. Maybe some people could but we couldn't leave her to the pumps. It's a small leak and the bilge pump only comes on once in 6 hours but any water is more then we are willing to risk. So much for a happy thanksgiving with the family. It's a bronze tube that, I suppose, I should have replaced before now. Hind sight is great, isn't it?
