Tom, I can understand how a bilge pump could

work like your article explained but I believe my issue had to be different. I say this because the mast is bonded at the base with a #8 wire and the base to the bonding system as are the all of chain plates connected to the system as well. The shrouds and stay cables are connected via the chain plates. All of this stuff is also connected to the rest of the bonding system and it all comes together inside of the hull and laid down onto one of the bolts that hold the cutlass bearing house to the hull. I keep the connections clean and well greased. If a bonding system is going to work at all, it's going to work on this boat because it clean and tight. I even drilled and tapped the valve bodies for 1/4x20 screws and got rid of the little 10x24 screws that were provided by the manufacturer. I found a couple of retrofit valves that had the bonding wires hose clamped to the valve but they were gone soon after I bought the boat We have a collar zink on the prop shaft and two plate zinks on either side of the rudder gudgeon which are closely monitored by myself as well as my diver. I don't know what else to do.
