To be honest I'm a bit blown away by the response it has gotten. I figured there would be a small section of boaters that would be interested but it's proving to be much popular than I anticipated. In my mind I had figured on a leisurely progression:
Stage 1: just put up the maps that are available from marina websites etc.
Stage 2: collect paper maps from the marinas, boaters, etc. and upload them
Stage 3: create better maps.
But, based on the enthusiasm from my fellow mariners I'm now re-thinking that slow, lazy roll out plan. Open to any suggestions re. what else should be attached to the maps too, so don't be shy if you think of something. Thanks again for the encouragement!
