Even though we'd been leaning on the hook for hours, the forecast was to increase overnight and clock within about 180 degrees in direction.
I just wanted another opinion that we had moved say 200'(maybe I set 300'). In this case, we had probably 3 times that to the nearest shoal. It did go off but I suspect we swung outside of the circle.
I'll likely use it in the future so I get more experience. These days though, it's quite rare for us to be in an anchorage where exposure is much of a problem. Some of that comes from sailing in an area we know pretty well, and some is from experience. An exposed anchorage is something I'd just as soon avoid.
