I guess I could push the button before I run up to the bow to drop the hook, but I don't see that happening. At any rate, I can usually figure out where the anchor is to set a waypoint, but my plotter doesn't have (or I haven't figured it out) an alarm that I can set to go off when I get past a given distance from the way point. I think it only has a proximity alarm to warn when I'm getting close to it. I've got to double check that.
