I lived in the bay for about a year on my boat (very cold with no heater!) and blogged about places, anchorages, etc. You can read those by going to SayGudday.com and searching for san francisco. A local sailor recently wrote about their quest to get to the Farallon Islands which I enjoyed quite a bit.
