it's after seven long loud beeps. I can see how you could like a confirmation button but someone should be on watch anyway. The seven long beeps definitely gets your attention and then it's just a matter of monitoring the turn until it settles on it's course. Then I check that it's square with the course line and go on about my business of watch keeping. A confirmation button would make me get up, walk through the pilot house, push the button, walk back outside, climb back up onto my seat and get all comfortable again. You understand that this is all of about 12 feet. I must be getting old....
