...that the Most Dangerous Item to have aboard while cruising Maine, for example, would be a copy of the TAFT GUIDE, or Duncan & Ware's CRUISING GUIDE TO THE NEW ENGLAND COAST... Perhaps either volume might pose slightly less risk, if one had their Kindle version aboard, instead? (grin)
Yeah, I went back and forth with this guy about this a few months ago over on Sailnet... Certainly, he makes some very good points, but it's pretty hard for me to take his main argument seriously, looks to me like he's simply seeking attention...
yeah, I can't wait to upgrade to electric winches - first thing I'll do is remove all those dangerous and obsolete winch handles from the boat, and list them on eBay... (grin)
