I get that. I love it all(nearly). The crowds, the isolation.

I can find both nearly anywhere, but here in Penobscot Bay, the full range is within day sails.

I can feel how wonderful it is to be where you are as you provision your boat to be sustainable for where, and how long you're going.

That's part of the fun, and you're no doubt quite good(experienced) at it. But that's a temporary state even for the most well equipped boats in the Bahamas. Everybody starts to adapt during a winter in the Bahamas, to 'less is more'. It's fun, but I remember, it's fun to come back too.
