I think for me it was the fact that we left Florida in 2001 and headed straight for the Exumas and East. We never went to the Abacos and for years I was wondering what they were like.

13 years later and after being to a lot of places we spent 2 weeks in the Abacos on our way to Annapolis. It would have been better to go there first to as you said "decompress".
