They're like a decompression stop from Florida to ease the culture shock. Some of it's quite nice. I've always liked Green Turtle. The APYC is a hoot. Marsh Harbor is as good a provisioning stop as Georgetown or Salt Pond. There are plenty of anchoring spots with protection from a passing cold front. The real reason we're going there first is because Sally has never been there. And she'll like working southward along the west coast of Eleuthera. She may even recognize parts of Spanish Wells. As a child she spent a few weeks in a rental cottage on Harbour Island.
I did like that Lake Sylvia anchorage. I had feared it was being closed off to transients years ago. Glad to know it's still open.
