I redid all my wiring connections so they are simple plugs. My lazy jacks usedto be spliced on, but a knife fixed that the first year. Now I tie them on with bowlines. When I remove sails, I don't try to fold them perfectly. I am happy as long as I can get them into the bag. I refold them at home after the end of the season.
Well, enough of this, it is now time to do the really time consuming boat work - getting my 1936 wooden motoryacht ready to launch. I am scarfing in eight new planks this year, paiting and varnishing the entire boat, finishing filling the weave on the new fiberglass cabin top with epoxy then sanding it out and painting it, revarnishing all the interior wood and the usual small stuff (installing cabin top hand rails after building them and varnishing them, reinstalliong the running lights, solar panels, nameboards, etc.). Shouldn't take more than 3 weeks or so
