I feel that a very important part of boat building is the ability to get to any piece of equipment or hardware that may need maintenance and thought an IP would allow for that in the design. Hell, on our old Gulfstar we could get to every piece of hardware with a little reaching & contorting. Except for the packing gland. It was stupidly installed directly under the shower pan and was impossible to do maintenance on without removing the pan.
