Now performance - driving the new cheese wedge shaped hull - is making sailboats bigger, still.

But I think boats like this, are getting lighter, and that means cheaper to build. Lighter boats means lighter rigs, lighter bolts, lighter = cheaper.

The shape of this boat envelopes a lot of space. It seems the sailing defined by new boats today, is a lighter form. Not long distance, not long term, not really 'cruising', so accommodations are lighter as well. So what do you do with all this space? They must be 'light and airy' below. A new trend?
