Considered doing that livaboard thing with a cheap boat...

Back when we first started doing a remodel of my home in San Diego... There was a somewhat large beat up trawler that caught my eye... for reasons of space, not seaworthiness. Ultimately it may have been much nicer than living in the house while doing the remodel... But I started to question whether I would be able to "unload" the boat after the remodel.

Also, upon further investigation, I discovered that livaboards were not allowed in the marina closest to my home, and I would have to commute some distance to make it all work. The Broker was selling me a pig in a poke by suggesting that liveaboard was possible at the current location of the boat.

The dream and reality often are quite different pictures.
