I am in the process of making one change after rejecting it for years

Last spring I sailed over to Pensacola and was sailing in some fairly stiff winds in P'cola Bay. Decided to drop the jib and just go main only. Realized I'm not QUITE as steady when it's bouncy as I once was.
So, I'm finally bowing to leading the jib halyard aft, and installing a down haul. I can still handle being at the mast:)
Of course another answer would be to locate a mate!!:)

- Let's not forget that the sailing mags all push "BIGGER" Can't live on something under 40-45 feet!!
- Now performance - driving the new cheese wedge shaped hull - is making sailboats bigger, still.
- Really cheap "liveaboards" around here are just now starting to anchor in the rivers full time.
- The yachtsman is one sinking (think failed hose clamp) away from homeless!
