I had no idea

I know we are a good deal here, what you are paying is about 3-4x what you would pay at the most exclusive yacht club in our area.

The idea of the founders was to provide a place where they could enjoy boating with their families and have it be affordable. Our members are actually a pretty talented bunch of folks that handle pretty much all aspects of running the place from accounting to welding. (they let me stay in spite of that). I think you would fit right in TD and would probably have a pretty good time in the process.

I'm surprised that you have nothing similar in your area?

On the other hand, we have no boat yard type services available like you guys have in your boat yards. Just a few roving mechanics that handle things along the bayfront if you can get on their schedules. Fortunately we do have a small woodshop and machine shop on premises that the members can use as well as welders, cutting torches and so forth.
