crews that travel 100's of miles with jury rudders.
There was one in a French magazine a few years ago about a small cruising crew in a 45 foot or so boat who that made it from the S Atlantic to Horta
I am sure many of you have seen comparable stories.
Teh wonders of good insurance.
Of course, this easy abandonment to slavage drives our insurance up

- It's surprising the number of folks who think the emergency tiller is an amergency rudder. (nm) (link) (pic)
- Deck cleats being pulled off.
- No mention of the sea state, etc. ....
