My local waters of Penobscot Bay have been designated a No Discharge Zone.

This designation already exists in the Casco Bay area I believe. If you plan to be in the vicinity of Camden Rockport, the towns own a new pump out vessel that is very efficient fast and free and so far easy to get service.

This doesn't change the 3 mile overboard laws, but it seems now that facilities are available, enforcement will likely step up.

Having sailed quite a bit up and down the New England coast, we've never been inspected in any way for our holding tank(we have one). Have others in Southern New England or Casco Bay area seen any enforcement yet?
