The few times I have been boarded have never had the head/holding tank inspected or questioned. What I have heard from those who supposedly are in the know, is they put a dye in the head and flush it. If they see the dye in the water, your in trouble. I have the head discharge directly into the holding tank. All I do is tape the switch for the macerator pump off, and switch the Y valve to the pumpout position. Don't know that this will meet the requirements, but guess I will find out if ever inspected.
