is anyone seeing stepped up enforcement in areas that have gone from the old standard(3 mi) to these newly designated No Discharge Zones such as we've seen in Casco Bay and which covers southern New England?
I expect we'll see new signs posted in our harbors but I doubt any sort of stepped up enforcement is on th way. On the other hand, we have several agencies out there, local, fed, DMR, . Who's in charge of policing this law? There are a lot of boats on the coast of Maine with marine head and no holding tank. It will be a plus in harbors like Rockland, Camden, Pulpit Harbor to name a few, if less boats are pumping overboard in high season.
At any rate, the argument to discharge inside harbors is a mute point now. The horse is out of the barn.
