OH man. I disagree. Had failures on marelon thru hulls, never use one again.

() The stem is the weak point. Marelon will freeze up just like cheap steel and that stem will break.
Use bronze, good quality thru hulls and do it yourself. It ain't rocket science, clean well, use quality thru hulls, quality caulk.
